Art of the Story and A Short Love Story from Carlos Lascano (Pt3)

This is part 3 of the series, “Art of the Story.” Part one “Art of the Story and the movie bella,” dealt with the fact that without meaning there can be no story. Part two Art of the Story and David McCullough dealt with the importance of connections. Today I want to keep it short and sweet with a animation video by Carlos Lascano as a visual illustration to the significance of history, meaning, and story

Love stories are transcendent because no matter how much someone denies it we all are in need of loving and trusted relationships.  We have seen the kid who refuses any form of love only to find out that he has wanted it all along. This is no different with families. There are two more days till Christmas and families are in the works to come together because of their bond to one another. Lifestyles, opinions, personality, and temperament may cause friction and disagreements but never let it divide families. I was always taught that you may disrespect someone’s opinion but you may never disrespect the person.  Take the time to listen to your family and loved ones. Get to know their likes and dislikes. Create engaging conversations with them. Remember that communication is about getting the person to talk to you and not forcing them to listen.  Holidays are few and far between so take the opportunity when you have it to engage in one another.

I stumbled across Carlos Lascano and this animations. He has amazing work so when you visit his sight be sure to stay awhile to look around. I think anything that I write may take away the

story he wants to tell us so I’m going to stop. However, It did remind me of Five for Fighting’s 100 years. I have included the lyrics under the video.

Don’t forget to comment your thoughts.

100 years by Five for Fighting

I’m 15 for a moment
Caught in between 10 and 20
And I’m just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
I’m 22 for a moment
She feels better than ever
And we’re on fire
Making our way back from Mars
15 there’s still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose
15, there’s never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
I’m 33 for a moment
Still the man, but you see I’m a they
A kid on the way
A family on my mind
I’m 45 for a moment
The sea is high
And I’m heading into a crisis
Chasing the years of my life
15 there’s still time for you
Time to buy, Time to lose yourself
Within a morning star
15 I’m all right with you
15, there’s never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
Half time goes by
Suddenly you’re wise
Another blink of an eye
67 is gone
The sun is getting high
We’re moving on…
I’m 99 for a moment
Dying for just another moment
And I’m just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
15 there’s still time for you
22 I feel her too
33 you’re on your way
Every day’s a new day…
15 there’s still time for you
Time to buy and time to choose
Hey 15, there’s never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
