Ansel Adams Interview Pt. 2

My favorite part of the interview because it reminds me that as professional photographers we need get it right in the camera first and then enhance during processing not “hope for the best and fix it.”

Interviewer: There are two steps: the moment of taking the photograph and the other one is when you actually print the photograph
Ansel Adams: That’s an important question. Actually, there are two ways. One is to to take an average exposure and then you process and you expect some miracle to happen. The sad fact is that it rarely happens.
