Breast Cancer – To Have and To Hold

30 Day Challenge For Breast Cancer: 500 Books For Love

For the next 30 days I want to partner with you to help 500 men and women affected by breast cancer in a special way. Many of you know someone who has been affected by this disease. It may be a family member, friend or loved one and sometimes we don’t know what to say or give to help them in their journey. Breast Cancer Portraits: wisdom from the journey is a gift that you can give in a meaningful way.

In celebration of July 4th I have cut the price of the book by 20% from $24.99 to $20.00 (+ shipping & tax) for the next 30 days to help you give that gift to someone you know. Remember that $1.00 from each sale will go to organizations that help fight breast cancer and assist those affected by breast cancer.

Excerpt From The Introduction:

Breast Cancer Portraits: Wisdom from the Journey: steps out of the box beyond a book about breast cancer survivors for breast cancer survivors. The personality portraits of these 49 survivors, paired with their heartfelt, penned notes contained in this volume, are wisdom about life, love, and happiness gained from their experience through their journey and battle with breast cancer. This wisdom will help to motivate and encourage those with the desire to fulfill dreams, overcome obstacles, and create stronger relationships with friends and families. The life of one who battles cancer is one filled with fatigue, exhaustion, anger, and confusion. Survivors are never able to walk away from their cancer to take a rest or recoup because they can never walk away from their body. The battle for their life rages all hours of the day and night. The tools for their battle include the poison of chemotherapy and burns of radiation with the hopes that the cells that are sabotaging their body are killed faster than their healthy ones. Let us not forget about the support of family and friends to lift spirits and lend a listening ear and strong shoulder. Survivors are confronted with questions about their mortality, identity, loved ones, and leaving a legacy. The wisdom contained in this book gives inspiration, motivation, and encouragement not only for those directly affected by any terminal disease but also for people who need to wipe off dusty goals, overcome defiant obstacles, and live the life they have always desired.

This is now an ebook and will be available on August 20, 2014. The pre-order cost for the ebook is 14.99

Every year over 200,000 men and women are diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States.  There is a strong chance you know someone — a mother, sister, friend — who has had it.

A cancer diagnosis lays a heavy burden on their backs that affect everything from their emotional stability to their financial stability. I want to partner with you to help relieve some of the emotional stress with words of hope from those who have already walked ahead on their journey with breast cancer.

I need your help to touch the lives of 500 survivors and the newly diagnosed in the 500 Books 4 Love Challenge.  My newest book, Breast Cancer Portraits: Wisdom From The Journey gives words of hope from the heart of 49 men and women survivors who want to be their companion on a journey they have already traveled.  I want to challenge you to reach you to your friends and family that have been touched with breast cancer and give this book to them as a gift.

Many times we don’t know what to say to help those battling this disease.  Why not let survivors help?

Inspirational Quotes and Photos Of Breast Cancer Survivors

One of my goals with Breast Cancer Portraits: Wisdom From The Journey was to allow men and women breast cancer survivors give a word of hope and inspiration to those recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer, survivors and those affected by breast cancer.

Although each survivor wrote (most in their own handwriting) their words of hope I wanted to condense it for social media sharing.  I used Instagram as the rule.  Please feel free to share these images and also pin these to your pinterest boards.

If you know a survivor or someone affecting by breast cancer please consider buying a copy for them for my 500 Books 4 Love promotion.  As a thank you, I’m going to give your over $100.00 in gifts.

Meet and Greet Breast Cancer Survivors at the Pink Soiree

Pink Soiree at Canvas Cafe in Marietta

Purchase Breast Cancer Portraits: Wisdom From The Journey and pick it up at the Pink Soiree for 29.99

Although the Soiree is free you must reserve your spot in line.

For the past 6 months I have met and photographed 49 breast cancer survivors (men and women) with the hopes of having a book ready in October 2012. Well, the goals were set and action was taken to make it happen. As I write, the printing process of my newest book Breast Cancer Portraits: Wisdom From The Journey has begun.

Obviously I didn’t photograph all 49 survivors at one time. As a result, many of the survivors only saw and spoke to a few who were photographed. I wanted to give them an opportunity to connect with one another as well as others who have not only helped create the book but those affected by breast cancer.
